Canale... Chill, let your wrestling speak for you. You don't see Sparr or anyone else for that matter from Rose Hill arguing with people.

Dirty Wop,
please do not misunderstand what I am saying. I'm not implying that Hynick has not put in extra time. That fact is obvious when you watch him wrestle. He is a very solid wrestler, and has some slick tricks. I think he is a very quality wrestler and could probably be successful at the college level if he chooses to go on. Hynick is not doubt one of the best kids in the state.
As far as it relating it to Tyler Kohen, I am just saying that kid is moving to another level. He has moved to the national level. I say this only because I have seen him wrestle several times at some national tournaments I happened to be at when he was there. He is in quickly becoming one of our states elite national level kids. Up there with Cotton, Elliot, Furches, Knoblet, and those guys. I am sure plenty of people will laugh at that statement, but he isn't the number 11th ranked junior in the country for no reason. Actually, I think elliot is only ranked 3 places higher (8th) in his weight. Tyler has been knocking off the top kids in the country since last seasons end. Point of the matter is when you talk about Cotton, Elliot, Furches, Koehn, and the likes you are talking about kids that are only going to get beat CONSISTANTLY by a handful of kids in the country, let alone the state. That doesn't mean they wont get beat. All of them are going to have off days, and if they have an off day against the wrong kid they are going to lose. However, most of the time those kids are going to be hard pressed to beat.
So again, I am in no way saying that makes Hynick less of a wrestler because it DOES NOT. Hynick, along with many others are extremely quality kids, and have a lot to be proud of. Many of them, including Hynick either have or will accomplish more than most kids who step on a mat will ever achieve. There is a great deal of pride to be taken in that. I am just saying that, and I think those who spend a lot of time on the national or college scene would agree, that there is a select group of athletes out there who are just a notch above the rest. Tyler is quickly becoming one of thase kids, and I just don't see anyone around his weight beating him this year.

TD,
Well put. Nobody that has seen Tyler Koehn would laugh at your comparison. He has AA written all over him.

Stew,
Pittsburg has moved from 5A to 4A so Koehn is 4A now.

The "AA" that chief is refering to means "All-American" it doesn't have anything to do with KSHSAA.

Wop you must have a mad man crush on Hynick!! Thats all you ever post about is how good he is and he is going to be champion and all that. Even LAST year he was going to be state champion in your mind. The year is long and their are plenty of good wrestlers out there so CHILL OUT.
