So now is chase gonna give a big smile to the question as to who the best team is when bishop carrol him and someone else were just asuming goddard is the greatest and they went down at derby tourny now 5a is by far the best division in kansas so get used to it.

I do believe Goddard might not have had their whole team there they had no 130lb wrestler and where was their 135lb wrestler

Carroll's 125lb defaulted out due to injury, the 215lb wrestled with one hand due to injury, and Bo Hensen was not in the line-up this weekend. I think there are some points missing from Carrolls total as well. Next.

Well if your gonna make excuses for goddard than I guess you could take their win against bishop lynch from last year because they didn't have half their team there at ark city so don't make excuses for them they are a good team just didn't win that weekend and glad to see it, So good job 5A keep on tearing them up and get ready to spank them 123A Norton Bluejays at Newton can't wait to see them go down.

That wasn't very smart! These comments will be taken to the bulletin board in Norton this week! They won Newton hands down with 8 guys last year! I'm glad you have ticked them off now! Identify your loyalties so maybe they will just thump on your team! DA

Alright parkwayred Looks like they are gonna need to get pumped up about newton since they only won their tourny over a middle of the road team in beliot so they better worry more about wrestling than whats said on the post Im predicting norton getting 4 or 5 place at newton this year. Im being generous

I sure Coach "Billy" Johnson appreciates your efforts in making his job easier this week!

You use that word "SPANK" alot. I thought BC would spank Goddard? On the worst Saturday in recent Goddard history BC wins by 8. They lost 7 of 8 cons. semis!! Very Bad Day

Props to BC they are an awesome team and 5A is also very tough!

One correction, according to Bob P the Am Wrest News guy, Lynch was missing only 1 of their "Good Wrestlers" at AC last year. Certainly not half the team. We all tend to get the testostorone(sp) going when we start typing!

I think Goddard and carroll could go to the same tourney each week and it would be back and fourth. Great weekend of wrestling to watch for everybody at Derby, lots of fun and all the competition should help both teams come regionals and state.

wrasslinfan,

I just love when very unknowledgeable people such as yourself get on here and put down other sucessful programs, let alone any wrestling programs. Considering the number of students that 5a schools have compared to 321a schools is what 4-1? Heck, with those numbers every 5a school should dominate any 321a school, however I know, as well as you know (or you should know) that is not always the case. There are very quality teams in every classification that can be very competitive on any given weekend. Not sure exactly what Norton has this year as I have not seen them yet, just read results, but if they do not do as well as the past two years so be it. I think you are stuck in your little 5a world and will never give credit outside of that little shell.

5a by far the best? Yeah, right. Will you still say this when they have more people with losing records qualify for their state tourney than 4a and 321a combined? Sure, 5a is a lot tougher this year than in a lot of years in the recent past, but in no way are they the best class in the state. I will say that Bishop Carroll is one hell of a team, but if that tourney was wrestled over again the results would likely be different.

As much as I love all the friendly banter with you fella's I sure wish we had Grand State to solve our disagreements and put this to rest. And if the tourney were wrestled again it would still be either carroll or goddard although I will give Rose Hill alot of credit for sending so many to the finals they seem to be solid at most every wieght.

Who is Carroll's 125lber, it doesnt even matter because if Goddard and Carroll went head to head Goddard would win, because Carroll doesnt have half the team Goddard does.

Norton should have win at Newton. But being generous for a fourth or fifth finish, doesnt sound to accurate.

Sorry, but when did I assume anything?? if I had a definite answer to that question earlier I would have gave it. The smiley face indicated my interest in the question. So it looks like you who is assuming everything...and you know what it does when you Ass-u-me things...

Hey Butt-Head what did people do before they invented TV?

By all means, don't give Carroll any props. Just spit venom and talk about what-ifs. I guess because Goddard would beat them in a dual, they should turn their Derby trophy over to them. Is that how that works? If you want that trophy, you will have to pry it from their cold dead hands.

I give Carroll all the props in the world. Both schools walked into the gym Friday and by Saturday night Carroll was the victor. Both teams are very good and in this tournament Carroll was the better. Congrats Carroll. By the way I am from Goddard and I am not sure who would win in a dual, but it would be a barn burner.

You are right. The barn would be burned to a crisp. Best of luck to Goddard the rest of the season.

I am also from goddard and i agree that a dual between the two teams would be a great show. But for those of you who think Carrol is better than goddard just because htey won a tourny that goddard was at then think again. The only way to tell is in a dual and i think it could go either way.

I am the game and you know you can't take me
