Jason Pyle Sabetha @ 145 should be a top runner, Jayme Streit at 135 has beaten some of those listed, and Trent Snyder at 189. Just a few from Sabetha...also should put some Beloit guys in there like Esterl at 140, I think he is a senior, along with some from Smith Center. Coach Brown

Just thinking of western kansas kids off the top of my head who have been said yet, Nathan Brockelman of norton at 130 is a returning state champ, Michael Malay 189 is a returning state champ and Wilger of St. Francis was a runner up last year at HWT. Also a kid who pops into my head from eastern Kansas is Brett swoyer, I'm thinking he has less than 15 losses in his hole carrer and maybe less than 10 and was a runner up last year behind Baker so pretty solid. Just some names that popped into my head

Bahe is plenty tough, but not at Ely's level.

I thought of Migchelbrink of Atwood and then i convinced myself he was a Jr. But since he is a Sr. you would definatly think he would be high on the list

how could you say that Bahe is not on the same level as Ely. Bahe has 2 state titles and a fourth place finish. With Ely having 1 state title and a 3 and 5th place showing!!!

There are several points that seperate Ely from Bahe.
On the national level, Ely has been ranked by several ranking services. To my knowledge Bahe has not. Ely placed 2nd in GR at the Southern Plains regional ahead of Caldwell. Ely was 40-0 in 05 before losing to Altman at State. His bracket last year that he won was tougher than Bahe's. Ely beat Nick Shumate and Adam Almaguer 12-2 in the finals. Bowen and Seaton are tough, but Shumate could beat them both.
It has to be understood that saying Bahe is not as good as Ely is not a slight on the 2X champion. He is plenty tough. I'm just saying that on a national level, wrestlers like Ely, Cotton, Caldwell, Disney and Furches are a cut above in my opinion.
