Several athletes from USA Wrestling Kansas earned national recognition at the 2025 Super 32 Challenge, one of the country’s most competitive preseason folkstyle wrestling tournaments. Held annually, the event draws top talent from across the United States, and this year Kansas wrestlers delivered standout performances across multiple divisions.
Gray Joyce made history by winning the Girls Division Championship, becoming the first female wrestler from Kansas to capture a Super 32 title. Her path to the championship included a high-profile semifinal victory over Eve Skrocki of Iowa, who had defeated Joyce in the Fargo Nationals final earlier this summer. The rematch added intensity to Joyce’s run, culminating in a decisive win in the title bout and a landmark achievement for Kansas girls wrestling.
In the 8U division, Uriah Guebara secured a championship title with a dominant performance, adding another national accolade to Kansas’ youth wrestling ranks.
Middle school competitors also made their presence felt. Cragen Smith finished 6th in a deep and competitive bracket, while Jackson Hermann earned 7th place. In the Girls Division, Presley Beard rounded out Kansas’ medal count with an 8th place finish.
These results reflect the continued development of wrestling talent across Kansas and underscore the state’s competitiveness on the national stage. USA Wrestling Kansas athletes and coaches continue to build momentum heading into the regular season.
