Womens Team Kansas

Women’s Team Kansas—fierce, determined, dedicated… and ready for battle.

Forged through relentless training and a passion that fuels every match, these warriors step onto the mat to dominate, not back down. They embody resilience, skill, and unwavering unity, proving that true strength isn’t just measured in muscle—it’s measured in heart, grit, and the will to fight for something bigger than themselves.

Women’s wrestling has exploded across the nation, becoming the fastest-growing sport in the U.S. KSHSAA recognized that momentum in 2020, officially sanctioning our women, and since then, Team Kansas has been on the rise—pushing boundaries, breaking barriers, and setting the standard.

With freestyle wrestling at the heart of collegiate competition, our focus is clear: developing elite athletes, expanding opportunities, and cementing Kansas as a powerhouse in the sport. From taking on the toughest competitors in individual tournaments to team battles that test every ounce of skill and willpower, Women’s Team Kansas never backs down.

We embrace the fight. We welcome the challenge. And we lead the way for the next generation of female warriors.

Team Duals

Each year, the nation’s fiercest female wrestlers converge for the USA Wrestling  Team National Duals, battleground competitions where skill meets determination, and champions are forged. This premier event isn’t just about victories—it’s about earning respect, testing limits, and proving that women’s wrestling is a force to be reckoned with.

On the mat, these athletes display grit, precision, and unwavering resilience, standing shoulder to shoulder with their teammates in pursuit of excellence. They battle not just for medals but for something greater—their state, their team, and the evolution of the sport.

Women's Team Kansas is still growing and at the moment we are fielding dual teams for Cadets and Juniors.  We hope in the near future we will begin to assemble Elementary and Schoolgirl teams as well so stay tuned!  In the meantime, click below to learn more specific information about our existing teams.

Fargo Nationals

Every summer, the nation's best wrestlers converge at Fargo Nationals, officially known as the USA Wrestling Junior & 16U National Championships. Held in Fargo, North Dakota, this prestigious tournament is widely regarded as the ultimate proving ground for high school wrestlers, showcasing elite competition in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman disciplines.

With hundreds of athletes battling for national titles, Fargo Nationals is more than just a tournament—it's an opportunity for wrestlers to cement their legacy, and test their skills against the best in the country. This event is perhaps one of THE best ways for Kansas females wrestlers to gain exposure to collegiate recruiters who are numerous and always on the lookout.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each of the National Dual Team and Individual Team Event pages has a link to a submittable form.  Fill this out and one of the members of the team staff will get in contact with you.

You can find buttons to each of the pages above.

Our goal with dual teams is to field the absolute best team[s] we can.  To support this we will be using the following criteria to help resolve any weights that have multiple wrestlers interested:

1)  Recent Head-to-Head
2) National Placings
3) Regional Placings
4) State Placings
5) Past Dual team experience
6) Wrestle off among participants.  Any challenger to an incumbent would wrestle best of 3 series at a location to be decided.

Our goal is to keep the cost low. I do not want ability to pay to be a primary driver of participating. The costs vary depending on the number of interested wrestlers, cost of team entry, cost of camps and gear.  The cost of each team will be published with the schedule.

Yes, with the exception of Fargo, you need to sign yourself up for each individual event you are going to.  For dual events, the team leaders will register the teams. Please sign up as Team Kansas as your team. This allows the coaches to see who all they need to plan on coaching.
