Here is a list who does everyone think would make an all state team, I am going to put all the champions, plus a couple others, for example 145.

Looks like 123 a isnt getting any recognition even in the 145 class that was supposed to be so tough. 321a sucks Wichita is where its at, match any of the 123a state champs up against any 4a state champs except for 112 in my opinion and well see what happens peace and no one can contest that.

I hope your joking.....112 from Hoxie beat the 4a state champ, and only got 3rd at 321a state....Spillman beat 4a state champ at 125 and he lossed to Annon so there's two that could win 125 4a....Gilliland of Hoxie lost 3-2 to Jones at 130 a year ago in kids state, so that could go either way. Both Schippers kids could compete with the 35 and 40 pound state champs from 4a....Also did Lyons and strait wrestle this year at 189 pounds, and Horineck I think could give Bedore a really good match at 215.

Yes, but look at the total votes for all of the 321A kids at 145, That may be part of the thing is that the votes are spread out amongst them instead of just one or two.

Like i have said before just because you might of won a match against someone does not mean the next time you will. Congratulation to all the state champs. If you are a state champ. you have totally deserved it.

Lyons wrestled Weishire and Pingleton. He beat Weishire and lost to Pingleton.... Anyone thats voting for Lyons over Pingelton needs to see the tape. Also anyone thats voting for Strait over Weishire needs to see the tape!

Hey Cat is the tape going to show Weishaar hanging on to Straits legs in double ot, cause thats what i remember seeing. Just dropping to the legs and holding on is stalling, Point should have been awarded. Good call. Great match.

I don't know how any poll can be seriously called all-state if you vote for kids that didn't even win state, and why in the world did you put the 3A fourth place kid at 189 on and not the kid from Bluestem who took 2nd. The only kid who was not the state champion who could be seriously considered for all state, in my opinion would be Venegas.

After looking at the poll, here is what everyone seems to think the All-State team is
103- Tristen Deshazer- WW- 5A 112- Levi Younkin- Oak- 321A 119- Tanner Gardner- SH- 5A 125- Tyler McCormick- BVN- 6A 130- Earl Jones- Coff- 4A 135- Luke Zouzas- SS- 5A 140- Stewart Bogart- SMS- 6A 145- Eric Luedke- Col- 4A 152- Ross Taplin- Abl- 4A 160- Phil Hart- SH- 5A 171- Nate Payne- Pao- 5A 189- Jake Strait- Con- 4A 215- Zach Hemmerling- Hutch- 6A 275- Adam Venegas- ON- 6A
Stats - 4 guys from 6A - 5 guys from 5A - 4 guys from 4A - 1 guy from 321A - 9 seniors - Shawnee Heights only team with more than one guy making the all-state team (Gardner and Hart)

At 145 consideration has to be given to Steve Thornton of Wichita Heights! His performance at the state tournament was no indication of his skills. He is really underrated.
Guys, you've had it wrong all these years, send your wife in to cry about junior being overweight (As long as your in District 1).

Wouldn't it be interesting if a poll only allowed voters who had actually seen them wrestle. It would be quite different than voting for the one you did see.

I would take Kyle Flory at 171 over Payne. Ohh yeah, Flory did beat Payne the last time they wrestled. Flory also beat last year's state champ in the finals and also Davis in the semi-finals which is the only one to beat Baylor during the year.

That's funny, I remember Lattimer bumping up, and putting it to Baylor in a dual!!!!!!

I'm not sure if you've ever watched Payne and Flory wrestle, but Payne was winning handily in both matches they wrestled this year. He just made two mistakes in the second match and lost by a single point. He owned Flory when they were on their feet, but he got in trouble when Flory hooked up a wing and tilted him for back points. If Payne never chooses down, he wins the match going away. No disrespect to Flory, he is absolutely dominant when he's on top, I've never seen anyone so good in that position. Overall, Payne is technically a better wrestler.
